When it comes to becoming an entrepreneur, the only limit is yourself. You do not necessarily need a degree, endless amounts of cash, or even business experience; all you need is ambition, drive, and a plan.
In this blog, our Sales Director and Co-Founder, Rizwana Hussain shares her top 5 tips to succeed in business.
Organisation and Planning is Key
Remember, you will not be an overnight success. Take your time, plan, and organise your time to be as efficient as you cant be. You should review, analyse, and keep detailed records of everything.
When it comes to planning, remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Write down all your goals and objectives and plan how you are going to achieve them, but make sure they are realistic and achievable.
Keep things simple
Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. It is always good to try new things, but try not to bite off more than you can chew. Take things slow and make simple changes. Prioritise your goals and tackle them one step at a time.
Master your fears and keep learning
Evolve with the times. What works now might not work in 10 years. When we first started, social media was relatively unheard of, and now it is a basic business need. Keep a close eye on your competitors; are they offering something you are not? Is there a different type of customer you should be targeting? Are there new ways to market your product?
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Remember, you are only human. You can not run your business single-handed. Seek advice from like-minded people and surround yourself with a skilled workforce. Your workforce wants your business to succeed just as much as you do, so invest in them and trust them. They have worked hard to get where they are, and they will remain loyal to you as long as you treat them right and keep them motivated.
Embrace Digital Marketing
Welcome to the digital age. Nowadays, your customers are tech-savvy and can look your business up and form an opinion in just 5 minutes. At a minimum, you should have a professional-looking website, an email list that helps you communicate, and a social media presence to help your customers connect with you.
Do not neglect blog posts, press releases, and social media content; it all contributes to placing you as a professional and reputable country in your industry. If an audience recognises your brand, they are more likely to take notice and potentially invest in your product or service.
Remember, you are not going to be an overnight sensation. We started in 1998 with a team of two and worked our business up to where it is today. It has taken 25 years, but we could not be happier with our progress. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we are continuing to grow and getting essentials products to our loyal customers all over the world.
